WHAT THE FUCK MOMENTS
A wizard pushing groceries down the street, crazy drugged up mama drama, some gold shiny shovels, A casino worker who damn near makes me cry, The table full of federal evidence, and of course Is it about the bunny?
SOUND DESIGN
We spend a lot of time in this series with zero character dialogue or background music, And the sound design on these episodes is of course incredible. David Lynch always knew the importance of sound design going all the way back to eraser head, so it's nowhere near surprising that he knocked it out of the park with this creeping and haunting score (Is the right term score?)
INTRODUCING DOUGIE JONES
Ladies and gentlemen introducing to the stage one of my favorite and most wholesome characters in the world, Dougie Jones. Once again Kyle McLaughlin plays a totally separate character from the two we've already seen him play, and does so flawlessly by doing very little at all. He reminds me of Leo being only able to say New Shoes in the original series, And is an absolute delight for those of you who aren't constantly waiting for Cooper to return.
I'm glad we get a tiny bit of Dougie Jones before he winds up in the red room, And it's awesome so much of a fucking goofball this guy is. He's the exact opposite of Dale Cooper meaning it totally slobbish and useless asshole, And he's a delight before his inevitable vomit death.
Also quick shout out to the un-sexualized nudity. I love me some nudity that isn't sexualized in any way it's just a naked person hanging out. Jade is actually a really great character in the series, And just like Dougie Jones our time with her is brief but sweet.
