THEY LIVE

I watched this movie with a friend who had never seen it before, and he described it as more of a comedy that a horror movie. Thats a pretty great summary.

This movie is so manly it ends up looking super gay and i love that vibe. Lots of sweaty shirtless manly men doing manly stuff. Brawls in parking lots, drinking beer, and hanging with the boys. And also learning earth has already been invaded by aliens, we just cant see them without super sick shades. They control the media, the government, the police, and the rich.

This movie also shows how power corrupts, a sympathetic look on homeless, and how poverty affects average people and families. Great mix of comedy, horror, and social commentary all with a John Carpenter score. Whats not to love?

10/10
