THE POSSESSION OF HANNAH GRACE

Wikipedia claims that there have been 73 movies about exorcism. this list includes such masterpiece films as Devils Fetus (2020) and Daffy Ducks Quack busters. Ghost-busters didn't make the cut somehow.

i want expecting much from this movie. Everyone and there dog is aware of the basic beats of a possession movie. but this movie kind of shocked me by having Hannah Grace die in the first 5 minutes. if you haven't seen this movie before, you get excited for a new and interesting take on possession movies. This is not that kind of movie at all. disappointingly this movie relies way to heavily on jump scares, and this whole movie have a strange unreality to it that makes it hard to get lost in. all of the acting feels like acting, and its hard to get invested. And if you want to have any chance in hell of making a good character drama, perhaps the characters should be a bit more 2 dimensional.

Once again we have the classic problem of great script bad movie. you could at least through in a few interesting kills. i do have to admit im a big fan of how Hannah crawls around like a spider. Her character design and effects are fun as hell.
