THE MIST

A movie with character so good you almost forget there are monsters running around in the void like Mist.

Like I already said, the characters have a strong point of this movie. Don't get me wrong, Greg nicotero did an excellent job with the special effects as he always does. The the creature effects done by The Walking Dead's Greg nicotero are superb as always. The creatures have a very unique look to them, almost lovecraftian in a way. But again this movie isn't really about the creatures.

Almost every character in this movie is unique, and you definitely don't feel like you're watching a movie full of stereotypical victims. These people have real lives, real families, and real personalities. The perfectly a****** ish Miss Carmody is one of the most hated characters in cinema history. I'm talking to mayor who won't close the beaches in Jaws level of hatred with this woman. Walking dead fans will also known as Andrea, Carol, and everyone's favourite guy in a bucket hat who sits on the RV.

I recommend watching the black and white version, as it was on the film was supposed to be released. It also just hides a lot of this CGI pretty well.
