Cotton Weary becoming a Jimmy Fallon feels 100% accurate. even in 2000 late night talk shows were played out and boring.
I would describe this movie in almost every way as fine. the plot for this one is... fine. the movie set is an excellent setting for a horror movie, especially a set from the original in series. watching ghost face run around in the OG party house is great. speaking of great, the cast here is amazing. Patrick Dempsey (greys anatomy), Carrie Fisher, Lance Henriksen (ALIENS, Patrick Warburton, Jay and Silent Bob, and even Roger Corman. almost every 20 minutes there is a cameo. and i love it. the other part of this movie i love is Sidney Prescott. Her character has always kicked ass, and its awesome to see how she deals with all of the constant sexy voiced murderers.
and now we get to the parts of this movie i dont love. Gale and Dewey still are not together in this movie. i mean they hooked up after the last one, and now they are split again and blah blah blah. i have the same feeling i did when watching the office for the first time. whether its Pam and Jim or Gale Dewey, they just need to be together already. come on man this getting ridiculous.
other than that mess, the plot of this movie is super forgettable, the mom dreams are unnecessary and weird, the voice machine is stupid and unbelievable, and the killer reveal is the worst of the series so far.
so i guess all said and done this movie is.. fine. i dont hate watching it, but its definitely not the best in the series. a very blah movie in an otherwise amazing series.
7/10
