Why haven't we had a horror trivia game hosted by ghost face? Wes if your reading this, i have a lot more ideas for ghost face merch. call me.
its not a huge exaggeration to say that this movie brought back the slasher genre for a more modern age. after this movie came out, there was a flood of similar movies in the late 2000's. how many early 2000s movies can you name that are full of self aware characters trying to stop a serial killer? the list seems endless.
SCREAM is one of my favourite movies for a lot of reasons. the first is just how bad ass Sydney Prescott is. She has been though a lot even before the movie starts, but she doesn't take shit from anyone. she mart, resourceful, and really deserves her spot as final girl. Another reason i love this movie is just how damn sexy ghost face is. i mean come that voice?! He can call me anytime he wants. and not only is he one sexy boi, but he is a brutal edition to the modern classic movie monsters.
the cast for this movie is amazing. Neve Campbell kicks ass as Sidney, David Arquette as deputy Dewey is wonderfully sympathetic, Jamie Kennedy is a perfect horror nerd, Matthew Lillard is perfectly manic, and so many more i could rave about them all day.
this movie has a perfect small town setting, lots of amazing characters who are well acted, one (well technically 2) sexy voiced killer, a brief cameo of the Halloween soundtrack, all directed by Wes Craven. Long live ghost face.
