POOKA LIVES

Just a damn shame he lives in 360p on the poster.

After my fair share of negative experiences with horror TV, I'm amazed they were able to make a sequel that is very different but just as good as the first. A group of friends from high school create their own Creepypasta about Pooka for laughs, but are shocked when it becomes so viral on the Internet that it actually manifests more murderous versions of the creature.

when I was 9 years old Eric Knudsen entered a spooky Photoshop contest, and SLENDERMAN was born. when I first heard of it/him it was a simple spooky picture, and i have quite literally been watching the SLENDERMAN morph into an urban legend, a game series, a movie, and unfortunately a massive true crime story. the internet loves nothing more to make the mundane into something far darker and nastier than you would have thought possible. just look at my little pony....

seriously though I love this movies approach to a horror villainy. having POOKA constantly changing looks as the internet creates more and more popular fan art is a crazy good idea, and full credit to the makeup team for bringing it to life. POOKA in this movie is a wonderfully practical beast that definitely fits the horror movie vibe a lot better, and this whole movie feels a lot closer to the horror movies you are used to. lots of cat and mouse scenes, more kills, and plenty other homages to horror that never feel to cliché. but just like the original, the best part is the characters.

blah blah blah the characters are great blah blah blah POOKA lives is great.

any questions?

9/10
