I always feel uncomfortable in silence. and to avoid that silence, I spend a lot of time on youtube. there are a lot of great horror-based youtube channels, but I have found none more entertaining and more educational than NYXFEARS.
the first time I had ever seen one of her videos was her breakdown of ERASERHEAD. she has always had a great way of explaining things using film-making terms without ever being condescending or boring. her videos have always been dripping with their own unique style, but in the early days of her channel, she seemed a lot more insecure. I really enjoy even now the semi awkwardness of her early videos, but since her transition, I have really loved the direction her videos have taken.
you can tell she has gotten a lot more comfortable with herself and has a lot more fun with her channel now than ever before. a lot of the movies I have talked about on this blog are a direct result of her recommending them, and she has influenced the way I think about movies to a massive extent. she also dives into the horror that is too extreme for most human eyeballs and does a great job of showing just how diverse and nasty the horror genre can be.
so if you are into Creepypasta, Goosebumps, Gore films, cursed images, and film analysis that doesn't put you to sleep, I beg of you to check out May's channel. long live the queen
