Louis Bloom is a cuck. Not at all an insult to the man, but he definitely likes to watch.

Louis Bloom is a fascinating character. Much like Pat Bateman, it feels like everything he says is something he memorised from some article to hide his lack of personality. He has that sort of Sheldon Cooper social quirks he has a strange sort of darkness in him that we see more and more of as he chases his true crime high. Which plays into what i think is this movies main theme. Desensitisation. pair that with the entire casts excellent acting, a criticism on capitalism and the media, and the surprisingly beautiful night time LA setting, you get NIGHTCRAWLER.

i feel like i need to watch something really stupid after that to cleanse my pallet
