This movie opens with the colors of the trans flag which I think they did on accident, but it's pretty hype none the less.
Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.
This movie kind of reminds me of dead ringers, shows a genius young boy go for a young man to successful adult excepting major awards for his work in the medical community. It's pretty stereotypical and not interesting, but nothing about this movie's opening is really bad. It's a little hard for me to see Michael Morbius without thinking of Jared Leto's pain in the ass acting style and personal life, but if you're able to separate the two he does a fine job as this movie's lead. You can't really argue the guy is not a good actor, he just chooses to be a part of some really questionable movies.
Every single bit of dialogue in this movie feels mundane and a stereotypical is possible, It is definitely a script that treats the audience's dumb. It's constantly reinforcing character motivation, every scene with Matt Smith makes me want to pull my hair out, and it really feels like a bee movie with a 75-83 million dollar budget. You want to make this shit interesting? Make Michael and Milo secret gay lovers in the story instantly becomes a hundred times more interesting. This mediocre bromance doesn't really feel earned in any way whatsoever, you know this movie was better acted it would be interesting to see that relationship form and then dissolve.
In every possible sense, this movie is lazy, cliché, cringe inducing, and just good old fashion booooring.
no, not even for a goof, never again/10
