I have never really liked Monkeys. they aren't cute, there far to close to humans for my liking, and who could forget the woman who's face was ripped off by a pet monkey. honestly, i was hoping this movie would be about that creepy ass symbol monkey on the poster. also i'm already feeling anxious and weird going into this one so this could be double disturbing.
Athlete Allan becomes quadriplegic after a horrific traffic accident. His friend Geoffrey, offers Allan a well-trained monkey named Ella to keep him company and raise his spirits. But the initially healthy bond, which even enables Allan to form a romantic relationship with Melanie, gradually disintegrates once Ella begins to channel Allan's underlying rage and takes it out on his loved ones.
i'm pretty sure i would have never watched this movie if it wasn't for two people. Director George Romero, and Tom Savini doing what he does best. despite the two biggest names in horror hanging around, this movie is boooooooooooring. the first 20 minutes of this are completely uninteresting, and i had to constantly fight the urge to shut this movie off. but for Savini, i fought the urge to choke myself out with a plastic sheet and powered through. and i was rewarded with....
alright i give up. i cant keep watching this monkey do mundane tasks to wacky music. i have hit me limit. my internet even went out and i had to find where i was again. its clear to me that this movie is cursed.
sorry Tom, i really tried to give a shit about this movie.
i don't know, maybe its gets bearable at some point/10
