LEAP OF FAITH: WILLIAM FRIEDKIN ON THE EXORCIST

There are certain movie that almost everyone loves. the ones you can show to someone who has never seen it before, and they will like it. When i introduced my roommate to fight club, i thought it was one of those movies. we through it own, My roommates girlfriend and i both loved it, so we asked what my roommate Brendan thought. i still about what he said next a lot, and i definitely thought of it when i think about the exorcist. what Brendan said on that cold winter evening was

" I Didn't like it very much. its to dirty"

-Dip Shit Roommate

Dirty morally? definitely. Dirty setting wise? the setting is definitely

drab gross shades of brown green. the movie makes you want to walk up and clean your TV, but why would that ruin the movie for you? there is a bunch of ways to think about what he meant by dirty, but my point is that it sucks when your the guy who does not like the movie everyone loves. and that sort of how i felt about the exorcist. the first time i watched it, i never finished it. i got bored and turned it off. this movie has definitely made me curious to watch this movie again.

this movie is an interest movie breakdown, and character study of Friedkin. this movie is basically an sat prep course for another movie, but its a good listen for hardcore fans.

9/10
