The forest makeout scene in the woods is a direct rip off from twilight, and i love that in a way mere words can never express
i have seen the poster, listened to the soundtrack, and always felt like this movie would be awesome. fuck young Neil (Johnny Simmons), Chris Pratt, fucking Cave Johnson is in this! how could i not love this movie?
well the first 20 minutes definitely had me worried. a bunch of way to snappy dialogue, some uncomfortable sex stuff, and suddenly shit hits the fan. The closest tone wise i can relate this movie to is the Ryan Reynolds classic THE VOICES. somehow after the 20 minute mark, this movie makes me laugh for the first time. This movie knows exactly what it is, and inst afraid to get both extremely dark and goofy, often in the same scene.
TLDR: a 2009 horror comedy flop which is now described as a feminist (queer?) classic.
9/10
if you want an opinion that isn't from a stoned 20 year old college drop out, i highly recommend this article.
