I went into this movie fully expecting it to be hot garbage. And in a lot of ways I was correct. But that being said smoothie isn't totally joyless. And since this is my last review of the Halloween series for a while, I figured we would talk about the parts of this movie that really work for me. Starting with its awesome and gory kills.
The Kills in this series are exceptional. Zombies take on Michael Myers has given us the most brutal version of him. And even when it's not Michael Myers who's doing the killing, The Kills are amazing. If I ever watch this movie again it will be specifically for The Kills.
Another part of the zombie Halloween series that really works for me is the new Loomis. It's absolutely impossible to replace dr. Loomis with anyone else, but Malcolm McDowell is a strong second place. I personally would have preferred if they never tried to bring the Loomis character back, but I can't deny that Malcolm McDowell kicks ass in this movie.
And with this review we officially wrap up the Halloween series for now. There are two more movies planned, and I really look forward to seeing how the Helloween series is going to carry on. As a whole life would say this series is one of the best horror seriesout there. The original Halloween is by far one of the best horror movies ever made, and from there they went to a lot of interesting directions that were fun to watch. Out of the whole series there are really only two movies that I don't want to watch again, and unfortunately this movie is one if them.
Long live Micheal Myers, and long live Halloween.
