HALLOWEEN 6: CURSE OF MICHEAL MYERS

Congrats! if your keeping up with my in my Halloween marathon so far, you have sat through 7 Halloween movie so far. most of them were fun, one of them was horrible, and now its time to talk about about part 6.

After part 4 i fully expected to hate this movie. they took one of the best endings ever and completely erased it. i was, in all honesty, pretty pissy when Halloween 5 shit the bed. i was feeling iffy about the next one, and kind of didn't want to watch 2 movies in one night. i figured i would put it for background noise at work and give it a shot. the opening of the movie made me lose hope, but by the first kill i was excited as hell to finish this movie.

i really enjoy this movie. the kills are the most brutal in the series, we get Paul Rudd as a baby napping Tommy Dole, and everyone's favorite crazy old man Dr Loomis. overall this is a really fun Halloween movie that makes me excited to keep going, even if this movie is the end of the timeline. but you better believe i cant wrap up this review without talking about the stuff in this movie that just plain sucks. for one the character of John Strode. For some reason this movies family issues bothered me a lot more than the Zombie remake. i was never a victim of abuse growing up, but abuse in family's has always really bothered me. especially from a character who was already established in the first movie as being a kind man. i suppose losing a daughter can change a person, but making him act that is totally unnecessary, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. another issue i have with this movie is the curse of thorn bullshit. why oh why did you need to add this to thew movie. its not terrible, and leads to one of the coolest settings in the film, but it is 100% unnecessary

as much as i rant about them, the issues i have with this movie wont stop me from enjoying it now, or in the future. as far as Halloween movies go, this one is a lot of fun. especially when Micheal dose his own laundry

8/10
