GINGER SNAPS

remeber ladys, werewolves not swear-wolves.

the movie is a black comedy about 2 sister going through Puberty in small town. with that kind of description you can probably image some lifetime network PG-13 bullshit. this is definitely not that. and dont get me wrong, there is definitely a bit of that to be had. the wacky neighbors and parents feel right out of Twin Peaks. the whole town has this sort of wacky/familiar feeling to it that i love.

this movie isn't really a horror movie. just like American Werewolf, this is a black comedy that uses the werewolf as a big metaphor for something else. yes there is lots of crazy gore, but its not really scary. and its not trying to be.

unless you think the female body is scary, and i cant really disagree if you do.

10/10 (maybe shorten that run time a bit though)
