This movie is ghost ship in space. Crew goes into a long dissipated vessel and end up stranded on said vessel with a supernatural force.

Keeping with the Ghost Ship comparison, this movie takes all my complaints about Ghost Ship and fixes them. The characters in this movie are a lot more intelligent and unique, The setting looks and feels a lot more real, and this movie doesn't date itself by using early 2000s heavy metal. A lot like THE THING, we are dealing with intelligent characters handling the situation in the best way they can.

and can I gush about the practical effects of this movie for a bit? every single one of the sets look amazing. from the seemingly endless hallways, massive reactor core, and even the smallest details all look incredible. and the gore... oh the lovely, lovely gore. this movie isn't afraid to go balls to the wall with its gore, and it makes the whole movie feel a lot more tense.

what's more terrifying than something that gets inside your head and shows you what you fear most?

Maybe the thought of having to sit through the whole fear street trilogy again.
