CAVEAT

Sorry Frank, but this rabbit has officially became the scariest ghost bunny.

this movie has everything a good ghost story needs. Subtle build up, questioning of sanity, compelling mystery, and an overall feeling of isolation and helplessness. If you are struggling to find that description enjoyable, perhaps the great acting, directing, script, and over all set design will draw you in. The whole movie has the feeling that it was adapted from some long ago short story in the best way possible. the plot here is entirely unique, and the directing makes the ancient setting feel very modern. love to see a director who can captures darkness so well.

so if you can handle the bug eyed bunny bastard and have the itch for a genuinely frighting ghost story, you're in luck.

or maybe the whole thing is about grief? guilt? energizer battery's? who knows

10/10
