Boris Karloff: The Man Behind the Monster is a 2021 American documentary film about the life and career of English actor Boris Karloff, who was known for his roles in horror films. The documentary is directed by Thomas Hamilton, who also serves as a co-writer and co-executive producer with Ron MacCloskey.

I really have nothing to say about this movie except for how awesome it is, but the whole time i was watching this movie i kept thinking.

I was thinking about people often make celebrities' into cartoon characters, who only exists for entertainment and have no history before or after the movie ends.

I was thinking about what a disappointment it was to learn about James Whale being a little shit.

I was thinking that no matter who you are or how successful you become, that everyone faces the same basic problems.

i was thinking about there was a time before the screen actors guild when various forms of actor abuse were not only common place, but expected.

I was thinking about how annoying it must be for an actor to be type cast into the same parts for a lot of his career.

I was thinking about what an unwaveringly delightful man Karloff was, and how few of his movies i have seen so far.

and most of all, i was thinking of all of the amazing Karloff movies i haven't covered yet, and how excited i am to do it.
