this shit should be mandatory viewing when you turn 18 years old.

in case you haven't guessed yet, i have been struggling with my mental health since i was a kid. and how to be an adult ever since i became one. and naturally, i am always looking for something i can relate to. And before i watched it, i thought i could relate to Bojack. and i never really did.

But this show caused a big change in the way i think about certain things. Its a macabre reassurance that it could be a lot worse, but no matter how bad it gets its never to late to turn myself around. which is damn near miraculous considering the extreme comedy and ridiculousness of its setting. despite its serious tone at times, this show has a wacky enough setting that keeps things from getting to heavy. Most of this show is comedy, and it is genuinely one of the best comedies i have ever seen. Its clever without mean, self aware of its own ridiculousness, and works as a parody of TV and film as a whole.

its absurdist, philosophical, Nihilistic, surrealist, educational, terrifying, hilarious, emotional, hysterical, and my personal favorite cautiously optimistic. Im grateful to have seen it when i did, and future Eric cant wait to watch it again.
