And i thought HELLRAISER was the horniest horror series...
I was instantly curious when i heard about the show, but when it came out (on Disney plus?!?) i really didn't have much interest in watching it. then i got really high the other day and figured i would give it a shot.
to give it credit, this show could have been interesting. revisiting the first seasons murder house is an intriguing idea, and they did a good job recreating both the house and its atmosphere. on top of that, this show is tackling a topic i cant saw i have ever seen explored seriously. the idea that children have such easy access to porn at a young age, they get desensitized to the normal stuff and go in search of more extreme porn to get there rocks off to. i'm a fan of exploring that idea, but this show fumbles most of the points its trying to make.
this show is a prime example of trying to hard to be modern. i understand the importance of visibility, buts always a bummer when the token gay characters are the exact same kind of stereotypes all movies seem to rely on. if that's not bad enough, the plot is nearly identical to the first season of AHS, they fail to bring back a lot of the shows best characters, and over all this feels totally unnecessary and unwanted.
i haven't cringed so hard since Sonic flossed.
