HULU's INTO THE DARK is a lovely anthology series that makes feature film length episodes every time. I Have already covered the POOKA series last December, and if that is any indication of what we are in for with the Valentines day episode, I'm hyped to hell to check this movie out.

"Down" is an episode of American horror anthology web television series Into the Dark that aired as the fifth episode of the show's first season. Two co-workers get stuck in an elevator four levels underground after everyone else has left for the weekend, on the day before Valentine's Day. What starts out as possible chemistry between them takes a turn for the worse as each finds out more about the other.

at first, this movie/episode is really slow. character's are introduced, elevators malfunction, and we wait as this clumsy almost romance slowly develops with all the fast paced action of being stuck in an elevator all night. right around the 30 minute mark things get more interesting and the characters relationship actually starts to work pretty well for me. Guy has a lot of dialogue that could be read in multiple different ways, and i have to applaud this movies patience for waiting so long to finally see him snap. There is a good amount of suspense before guy reveals all his secrets, and when he does shit gets really scary really fast.

all and all, this is definitely a segment worth watching. the ending feels a bit over the top but hey, in horror everything is over the top
