THE INVISIBLE MAN (1933)

Updated: Oct 30, 2020

For most of my life, i had no real interest in watching the old universal monster movies. i had watched Nosferatu (MADE IN 1922) and really didn't enjoy it. the organ soundtrack kicks ass, but overall i found the movie slow and boring. that was basically my view on old monster movies until i heard a quote from Mark Hammil on the inspiration for his joker voice. he listed one of his inspirations as the Invisible man, AKA Claude Rains. that quote mixed with Dead meats video on Frankenstein, i figured i better lighten up and watch some classic horror.

and this movie is amazing. the invisible man is a serial killer who is hoping to sell his invisible lube to the military and start a revolution by murder random people until they make headlines. thats the plot. there is no joke in that sentence, the invisible man just fucks shit up. oh and by the way its 1930 London full of theater actors. plus its really fun to see him run around a bar giggling and straggling cops. this movie is a gift from god himself.

and now the best joke i have ever made

more like a gift from god rains himself, am i right?
