OK OK i get it scraggly Hitchcock, i wont be a dick to old people anymore. Unless Nana cracks wise...
i must admit it, i judged a movie by its poster. the poster is one of my favorites, and i would expect it to be attached to a more artsy film. you know the type, where the movie is very long and you need a few you-tube videos to wrap your head around the plot. With a running time of an hour and our main character explaining the film as its opening, i was clearly wrong.
short story short, i really enjoyed this movie. the only real complaint i could make would be about the general heavy handedness of its message. But the film has a very fun kind of charm to it, and really shines in its later half. its creepy, surprisingly relevant, charming, and most of all fun.
also i am just depressed (yes) or is this movie chalk full of mental health metaphors? im probably just projecting..
