80s slashers all have a sort of common vibe that feels like a warm blanket. the dialogue is all delivered in a sort of ancient tone, the music all sounds the same, and if you're lucky its filled with over the top violence. thats really what i wanted from this movie, and thats what you get. maybe with a touch of planet earth style animals and scenery.
this movie opens with some awesome dark imagery, a great kill, and then just leaves you dangling there. you get lots of character moments interrupted by ANTICHRIST style nasty nature close ups. about half an hour of that and about 10 minutes of weird sex/cock blocking scenes, some one finally dies. and it sucks. shortly after we get a mans throat ripped out in highly bloody fashion. another great kill, and more waiting for kills starring sexy cop story time.
this movie continues to be 30% great kills and spooky ass imagery, 70% boring stuff.
so if you want that cheesy 80s slasher vibe, maybe just watch watch Slumber Party Massacre 2
